Since we created mini pizza out of wantan skin, we discovered the versatility of making pizzas. Many of them made from different base and toppings came out of our oven.
Here’s a visual we’ve put together to show you the many things you can use for a homemade pizza. If you don’t have one ingredient at home, you can always use another.
Any bread or pastry can be a base. A reader, Micha suggested Lebanese bread whereas Eva even used mushrooms.
Basically, any mashed tomato will do the trick. Given a choice, we will pick thick pasta sauce seasoned with herbs.
There is no pizza without cheese. If you don’t have mozarella at hand, just substitute with cheddar cheese.
Put any toppings on your homemade pizza. Onions and chilli are a must-have for most Malaysians. Sausages are common in modern fridges. Add some greens like capsicum if you can. These are just a few. Be creative!
