Home Bazaar with Chef Marina Mustafa at Villa 16, PJ

So it is the weekend and you are itching to get out to play. Instead of enduring notorious mid-day traffic and spending forever in the parking lot only to end up in a crowd of impatient shoppers and screaming kids, how would you like to shop around in a friendly environment where you have ample space to breathe and savour a home-cooked meal? That is what SOUQ @ Villa 16 is all about!

SOUQ Villa 16 with Chef Marina Mustafa

SOUQ @ Villa 16 is inspired by three enterprising ladies –  Marina Mustafa, a chef and cookbook writer; Annette Isaac, a café owner and Azlinda Arshad, a jewellery designer.

The home bazaar shopping concept where you get to shop within the comforts of a home environment. Every nook & corner offers you a wide variety of products from vendors who are passionate about their craft, from sheer clothing, natural skincare products, home-made pickles, to gorgeous jewellery.

After shopping and admiring just about everything you see, finish off your visit with a special home-cooked meal at the patio by Marina Mustafa herself, as well as Annette Isaac, the cafe owner. On the day of our visit, we happily indulged in Arabic-styled cuisine from curries, Basmati rice, beef wraps, hummus, and more. The theme varies every 6 weeks so be sure to stop by and see what Marina has cooked up for you that day! One thing is for sure, it is surely delicious.

A precious find on our visit was also the Pink Ribbon charity table that is available during each SOUQ. All proceeds from the sale at this table goes to our selected breast cancer patient of the month.
