Simple syrup or sugar-water is often used in making cocktail. You can buy it at the store, but why should you when it’s so easy to make? It’s made by dissolving equal parts (1:1) of sugar and water. Normally, this is done over the stove. However, we have an easier method.
> Water……………1 cup
> Sugar…………….1 cup
> Glass bottle
- Using a funnel, insert a cup of sugar into a glass bottle.
- Fill the bottle with a cup of warm water.
- Shake it for a minute until sugar is dissolved.
This recipe does not require you to turn out the stove. It makes a large batch in which you can store in the fridge. It can last for about 6 months in a covered bottle.
