DIY: Detox Peppermint Foot Soak

Everyday our body is contaminated with dirty air, radiation from cell phone and computer, pesticide residue from the food we eat and other pollutants. It is believed that the over-accumulation of these toxins and the inability of our body to remove them causes all kinds of unexplained illness.

One of the many ways to remove toxins from your body is through a detox bath. If you don’t have a bath tub at home, the next best thing is to make a foot bath. We’ll show you how to make a refreshing peppermint foot soak!

Epsom salt (magnesium sulfate) is a pure mineral. Traditionally, it is used as bath salt and to relieved sore muscles. Nowadays, it’s widely used to help with ‘detoxing’. Epsom salt is believed to draw out toxin from the body. You can buy them at health food stores.

Peppermint essential oil is antibacterial and anti-fungal, making it perfect for a foot soak.


> Epsom salt
> Peppermint tea bags
> Peppermint essential oil
> Empty glass jar


Peppermint Foot Soak

  1. Pour epsom salt into glass jar
  2. Cut tea packets and pour into the glass jar.
  3. Mix the ingredients with a spoon. You can also close the jar and shake it.
  4. Finally, pour a few drops of peppermint essential oil. Seal the jar tightly and keep it in a dry and dark place.

To use, pour the content into a bucket of warm water. Soak your feet for about 20 minutes. Try it!
