As avid online shoppers, we were so excited to find that TESCO offers online delivery. Online shopping is not limited to clothes, but household appliances and groceries!
We’ve recently purchased a citrus juicer from Lazada. Today, we’ll show you how we purchase heaps of groceries using our tablet.
STEP 1: Register an account
Currently, TESCO e-shop only deliver to certain area. You can find out whether they deliver to your area. If you don’t, you can pre-register and they’ll let you know once your area is included. Here’s a step-by-step tutorial on how we registered an account.
STEP 2: Add groceries into the chart
Groceries are divided into categories like Fresh Food & Drinks so it’s easy to search for what you want. We prefer to type what we want to buy on the search bar. When we found something, we just click “Add”.
STEP 3: Choose delivery time
Once we’ve completed ordering everything we want, we clicked “Book A Slot” on the upper right bar.
TESCO will deliver the items to our home tomorrow and charge a RM 10 delivery fee. We were given a 2 hours time slot from 10 am to 10 pm. We chose the earliest delivery, from 10 am to 12 noon.
STEP 4: Review items in trolley
We were asked to check the list of items things we’ve ordered. Now is the time to remove things you we don’t want and add items we’ve left out.
STEP 5: Confirm order
At this moment (2 April 2013), we can only pay at the door by credit or debit card. Once we clicked “Confirm Order” we’ve completed the order. TESCO provided us with an order number and sent us an email.
NOTE: There was no transaction made online. We need only pay when we receive our items tomorrow. We can even update our order until 11 pm.
STEP 6: Arrival of items and payment
Our items arrived the next day, around 10.45 am. We checked our groceries and paid with our credit card.
We’ve found that doing groceries online is extremely convenient. It was such a joy when a box of fresh produce and other food arrived at our doorstep!
There are a few downside of online shopping like how items are substituted and not all items are available online. We’ll talk about that next.
