The best way to flush out toxins is by drinking more water. We like to start our day with a water infused with mint and lemon. It is refreshing, delicious and easy to prepare.
YOU WILL NEED
1) Lemon x 1
Lemons are natural cleanser and lemon water makes a powerful detox drink. It cleanses your liver and stimulates your digestion.
2) Cucumber x 1 small
Cucumber has 95% water content, keeping the body hydrated while helping the body eliminate toxin.
3) Mint leaves x a handful
Mint adds refreshing flavor to your water. It helps in eliminating toxins from the body and improves digestion.
- Wash and slice the lemon and cucumber and rinse the mint leaves
- Add sliced lemons & cucumbers and mint leaves to a jug
- Mix the all ingredients and fill the jug with water and leave it to steep overnight in the fridge (or for least 4 hours)
- Drink throughout the next day.
- Soak lemon, cucumber and mint leaves overnight in your fridge to allow the flavours to meld.
- To maximize the benefit of your detox, avoid taking alcohol and food high in sugar and fat content when consuming this drink.
