Plate Culture is a community marketplace that connects passionate cooks with people who love eating authentic home cooked meal, especially while traveling. For Hosts it an opportunity to fulfill dreams of owning a restaurant, without actually having to own one. For guests it’s an opportunity to get individual, authentic experience of enjoying home-cooked meals in a different environment.
HOW TO: Step-by-step tutorial

1. Choose a date and number of seats
On the main page, choose your preferred date and number of seat. Click “Go”.

2. Choose offer
You will be shown a list of dining choices on that particular date. As these people are family and individuals,not restaurants, they only open up their kitchen on selected days. Other important information such as the price and languages spoken by the guest are shown.

3. Find out more
If you find an offer interesting. Click in to find out more. In this page, detailed information such as the type of cusine offered, what ingredients use and background of the chef are given. There are also photographs of the place and food.

4. Make a booking
Once you decided, click “BOOK IT”. Here, you’ll be asked your name, email, number of seats, food preference (e.g vegetarian/halal/allergies) and something about yourself.

5. Wait for confirmation
Plate Culture will confirm your reservation via email. In the email, they will provide important information like the date, time, address, contact details and fee.

6. Pay and dine
On that day, cash is to be paid upon arrival directly to the host.
