Are you excited about the new year? We are! We have so many plans for JewelPie and we know that achieving all that is not possible without health. So our first goal of the year is to keep ourselves as fit as possible.
We know that time is always a factor for busy people like us. It is certainly difficult but not impossible to lead a better lifestyle. Here are some tips:
3 TRICKS TO MAINTAIN YOUR GOALS
If you never or rarely make new year resolutions, start by keeping it short. This year, we only recommend 3 health goals. This way, you won’t feel overwhelmed.
2. Activity oriented
Don’t choose goals that are result oriented e.g “Lose 3 kgs”. Instead, make your goal activity oriented e.g “Exercise 10 minutes everyday”.
3. Make it simple
To ensure that you maintain your goal throughout the year, make it as easy to do. If your goals need you to get out of your way, you will probably abandon it. Instead of going to the gym which is 20 minutes away from your home, consider exercising at home.
3 HEALTH GOALS
1. Drink more water
Activity oriented goal: drink at least 2 litres of water a day. To make it simple, make DIY water bottle marked with time
2. Eat more vegetables
Activity oriented goal: eat at least one plate of vegetables daily. To make it simple, find out some easy vegetable recipes such as our Rainbow roast vegetables in 15 minutes.
Activity oriented goal: exercise for at least 10 minutes a day. To make it simple, do things like putting your exercise mat permanently on the floor. If you have no idea on how to exercise at home, you might want to get a ‘Guide to Fitness for Busy People’ which is available at any MPH bookshops.
