10 simple ways to eat healthy & keep slim

Love food but want to avoid piling on weight? Here are 10 easy ways to enjoy your food while keeping yourself fit and trim.

Drink water before meal

1. Drink water before meals to fill up your stomach, thus reducing hunger.

2. Order any drink ‘kurang manis’! (less sugar). One teaspoon of sugar has 16 calories.

3. Order Coke Light or 100+ if you really need some gas in your drink

4. Have mineral water That’s even better than fizzy drinks.

5. Get a smaller plate at buffets so that you need to walk more for extras and your plate looks fuller. Do the same at home.

6. Eat your vegetables first It fills you faster before you dive into your rice.

7. Eat dessert moderately Treat yourself some chocolates, cookies and ice cream occasionally. Be nice to yourself.

8. Chew and taste your food before swallowing. It’s more satisfying and research shows that longer chewers appear to be in the healthy weight range.

9. Stop when you are full. Don’t try to finish your food but eat until you have reached just that point for fullness.

10. Start exercising today for ten minutes. Once you begin to exercise, you would feel motivated to eat healthier because you won’t want your workout to go to waste.
